Plant Protein Power Balls

IMG_8495.JPG

These little babies are for everyone. I go a bit bliss ball crazy sometimes but I can’t help myself.. You can pack so much goodness into one little mouthful. They’re great for an afternoon snack.. Or breakfast, whatever. Don’t judge me.
So because Addi doesn’t eat meat (other than fish occasionally) it’s hard to think of things to feed him so he gets enough protein in his diet. So I say sneak it in. Because these have pepitas (pumpkin seeds), sunflower seeds and hemp seeds they pack a punch of protein for you or your little ones. But you wouldn’t be able to tell. They just taste like little chocolate fudge balls. Try and use raw cacao powder instead of cocoa, just for the extra antioxidants. Plus a bit of coconut oil for some good fats. Everything growing bodies need. They’re addictive. You’ve been warned.

The Stuff:
1/2 Cup Pepitas
1/2 Cup Coconut flour
1/4 Cup Oats
1/4 Cup Sunflower seeds
1 Cup Dates (soaked for 10 mins)
1 Tsp Chia seeds
1 Tsp Coconut oil
2 Tbsp Cacao powder
1 Tsp Vanilla extract
1/3 Cup Hemp seeds

How you do it:
Chuck everything in the food processor except the vanilla extract, dates and coconut oil. Process until everything is fine and crumbly. Add the rest of the ingredients till well blended. You might have to scrape down the sides a few times. You’ll be left with a dense, sticky, fudgy mixture. Roll into balls and roll them in coconut, cacao, sesame seeds, or just leave them plain. Chuck them in the fridge for atleast half an hour. Enjoy the deliciousness
